Contact your local district council.
Contact your local supplier.
Contact your insurance company.
EQC (Earthquake Commission) may also provide some cover. To get EQC cover, you need to have a home or contents fire insurance policy with a private insurance company when the natural disaster damage occurred.
While it may speed up the process if you make a claim quickly, you have three months from the date of the damage to lodge your claim.

For livestock hazard issues (such as stock wandering on the road in bleak driving conditions) please call 111.
For general livestock issues in flooded areas, please call Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) 0800 00 8333 and use option 2.
For local Civil Defence information, contact your respective Council above.
